Series: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Age: 20 Gender: Male Personality:
As one of the three more ‘successful’ clones, Yazoo tends to be very human-like when one first encounters him, but the reality of his existence is that he is, in fact, only one part of what the genius general Sephiroth was; no matter how close he is, Yazoo was still considered a failure by the scientists that made him.
Being a failure comes with a few things, most notably being a gross imbalance of emotions and feelings within the young man. Yazoo was created after Loz who, it was apparent, had far too much brute strength. The scientists, in an attempt to rectify this, created Yazoo with more intelligence and curiosity – the more intellectual and strategic side of Sephiroth.
Yazoo is cruel and calculating, and very often, detached from others. He feels the same emotions that other feel – he assumes – but it seems as though it is all through a screen of some sort, deluding them and turning love to fondness and hate to mild annoyance, etc. In addition to not being a very passionate person, Yazoo also finds it a bit difficult to empathize with others, as he can’t put himself in the position of others very easily. He doesn’t feel guilt or remorse very well, but he does know right from wrong.
Even if he isn’t the best with emotions, Yazoo is still incredibly smart; genius level, as the scientists who raised him put it. He is curious enough to make a good scientist, but his attention is known to drift often, resulting in him staring off into space quite a lot.
